701x Raises $10M Series B

701x, a Fargo, North Dakota-based agricultural technology company that provides a comprehensive software and hardware ecosystem for beef cattle management, has announced the closing of an oversubscribed $10 million Series B funding round.

The funding round was provided entirely by local North Dakotans, Minnesotans, and rancher-users across the United States. No venture capital or institutional firms participated in this round.

701x plans to use the capital to support its global expansion efforts, which include planned launches in Australia, New Zealand, Mexico, the United Kingdom, and Brazil by the end of 2026. Additionally, the company is directing significant resources toward product research and development, including enhancements to its acquired breed registry software and the development of new feedlot management systems.

Founded in 2020 in Fargo, North Dakota, by CEO Kevin Biffert, 701x builds a technology ecosystem focused on beef cattle production. The platform integrates on-ranch software, breed association tools, smart GPS and health-monitoring ear tags, DNA solutions, and various accessories to provide real-time herd management data to ranchers.
