aedifion Raises €17 Million in Series B
aedifion, a Cologne, Germany-based property technology company, has raised €17 million in Series B funding.
The oversubscribed round was led by Eurazeo, with participation from Drees & Sommer, VC World Fund, BitStone Capital, Family Office Hopp, Phoenix Contact Innovation Ventures, and existing investors MOMENI Ventures, Bauwens Capital, and LARTIS.
Eurazeo is a leading global investment group headquartered in Paris, managing around €35 billion in assets. It operates internationally, with offices in Europe, North America, Asia, and South America.
The company will use the funds to expand across Europe, enhance AI-powered energy management capabilities, and launch a generative AI assistant for smart building operations.
Founded in 2017 as a spin-out from RWTH Aachen University, aedifion offers a cloud-based AI/IoT SaaS platform for smart building operations. Its platform empowering asset managers to improve efficiency and sustainability across large property portfolios. Its software suite collects real-time data from building systems (like HVAC, lighting, and energy), identifies inefficiencies, and enables automated, predictive control to reduce energy consumption and CO₂ emissions.
