Anthropic Raises $65B Series H at $965B Valuation

Anthropic, a San Francisco, CA-based generative AI company, has raised $65 billion in a Series H funding round, bringing its post-money valuation to $965 billion.

This round, which follows a $30 billion Series G raised earlier this year, brings the startup's total funding to nearly $144 billion since its inception in 2021.

The round was led by Altimeter Capital, Dragoneer, Greenoaks, and Sequoia Capital. It was co-led by Capital Group, Coatue, D1 Capital Partners, GIC, Iconiq Capital, and XN, with additional participation from Amazon and other hyperscalers.

The company plans to use this capital to meet historic demand for its AI services, maintain its position at the research frontier, and expand the availability of its Claude product suite in more professional work environments.
