Ardent AI Raises $2.15M in Pre-Seed Round

Ardent AI, a San Francisco, CA-based company developing autonomous agents for data engineering, has raised $2.15 million in Pre-Seed funding.

The round was led by Crane Venture Partners, with participation from Active Capital, Zach Wilson, and a group of operator-angels.

Crane Venture Partners is a prominent early-stage venture capital firm based in London that invests in foundational software technologies of the future, particularly in the B2B enterprise space. The firm invests at the Pre-Seed and Seed stages and focuses on the intelligent enterprise sector, including SaaS, AI/ML, data and developer tools, cloud infrastructure, deep tech, and open source.

The company will use the funds to expand the engineering team, deepen integrations, and launch Ardent’s next-generation agent model.

Founded in 2024 by Vikram Chennai, Ardent AI is a company building AI Data Engineers, autonomous agents that create, manage, and repair data pipelines across modern infrastructure. These agents integrate into existing systems to handle pipeline maintenance, complex modeling, and debugging automatically, with native integrations across platforms like Airflow, Databricks, and Snowflake.
