The funding round was led by Tiger Global. Additional investors participating in the round include Hummingbird, QED, Soma Capital, Road Capital Management, CMT Digital, Brevan Howard Digital, and Variant, as well as several individual fintech and AI founders including David Velez, Karim Atiyeh, Sean Neville, Alex Bouaziz, Victor Cardenas, Alan Chang, Balaji Srinivasan, Farooq Malik, Gavin Uberti, Victor Riparbelli, Alexander Rinke, Jamie Cox, and Jan Oberhauser.

Augustus plans to use the new capital to continue serving leading fintechs and banks across Latin America, Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and Africa. The company will also continue to invest in its proprietary core banking platform, Marble, to improve settlement times and provide 24/7/365 availability through AI-driven back-office operations.

Founded in 2022 by Ferdinand Dabitz, Joshua Becker, Simon Wimmer, and Peter Lieck, Augustus is building the Global Dollar Bank. Its mission is to modernize the correspondent banking stack by combining a federally chartered bank with an API-first platform, enabling international institutions to access US dollar accounts without relying on layers of intermediary providers.
