Auxilius Raises €1.3M Pre-seed
Auxilius, a Germany-based software startup developing AI-powered governance, risk and compliance automation solutions, has raised €1.3 million in a pre-seed funding round. This new capital injection will support the company as it scales its operations and enhances its software platform.
The round was led by High-Tech Gründerfonds (HTGF). Additional participants included Techstars and several industry-focused business angels.
Auxilius plans to use the new funding to grow its engineering and domain teams. Furthermore, the company intends to further develop its Control Intelligence knowledge graph, which links risks, controls, and business objectives to automate compliance processes across enterprise environments.
Founded in 2026 by Christian Hoppe and James Barnes, Auxilius provides an AI-powered platform for governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) automation. The software converts policies, risk frameworks, and regulatory requirements into deterministic code that continuously assesses risk coverage and executes automated controls to replace manual spreadsheet-based auditing processes.
