AZmed Secures €5 Million in Series A

AZmed, a Paris, France-based European MedTech startup, has secured €15 million in Series A funding.

The round includes investors such as Maison Worms, Techstars, and Teampact Ventures.

The company will use the funding to accelerate the development of AZmed's AI-driven medical imaging solutions, aiming to streamline radiologists' workflows and enhance patient care. This funding will fuel AZmed's expansion globally, doubling its workforce and intensifying R&D efforts over the next 18 months.

AZmed was founded in 2018 with one aim: optimizing physicians' workflow and augmenting them with artificial intelligence. AZmed has developed Rayvolve, an AI software that detects bone lesions on standard radiographs. Rayvolve is a SaaS product and is integrated into the radiologist's workflow. AZmed's CE-marked AI software for fracture detection on X-rays, followed by FDA clearance in 2022, is already deployed in over 1,000 healthcare facilities across 40 countries.
