Band, an Israel-based startup developing a platform described as a "WhatsApp for AI agents," has secured $17 million in seed funding.

The investment was from Sierra Ventures, Hetz Ventures and Team8.

Band intends to use the capital to build out its "WhatsApp for AI agents" platform. This solution aims to improve coordination and communication among AI agents within enterprise environments.

Founded by veterans of cybersecurity firms Sygnia and Ermetic, BAND is building the communication and interaction infrastructure for the emerging Internet of Agents. The company's platform enables AI agents across frameworks, cloud environments, enterprise systems, SaaS applications, and personal devices to discover one another, exchange context, delegate tasks, and collaborate in real time. By providing interoperability, governance, and runtime controls for multi-agent systems, BAND helps organizations deploy AI agents as coordinated, production-ready systems rather than isolated tools.
