Baz Raises $9M Seed Extension

Baz, a San Francisco-based agentic coding platform, has raised $9 million in an extended seed funding round. This latest investment brings the total capital raised by the company to $17 million. Baz specializes in providing an AI-driven platform that integrates into engineering workflows to automatically detect, patch, and validate vulnerabilities in code before it reaches production.

The funding round was co-led by Battery Ventures and boldstart ventures. Additional participants in the round included AFG Partners and Disruptive VC.

The company plans to use the new capital to support ongoing research and development efforts across its suite of coding agents designed for engineering tasks.

Founded by a team formerly associated with Palo Alto Networks, Baz provides a platform that helps development teams govern and secure AI-generated code. Its flagship products include the AI Code Review and the newly introduced Baz Planner, which act as intelligent layers within engineering workflows to enforce coding standards and security policies.
