BeCertain Raises £1.7M Pre-seed
BeCertain, a United Kingdom-based AI dental diagnostics startup, has secured £1.7 million in a pre-seed funding round. The investment will support the development and commercialization of its AI-driven software designed to assist dental professionals.
The funding round was led by Sure Valley Ventures’ second fund. Additional participation came from Innovate UK’s Investor Partnership Growth Catalyst programme.
BeCertain plans to use the new capital to drive product development and the commercialization of its diagnostic technology.
Founded based on research from King’s College London, BeCertain develops AI software that helps dentists interpret 2D intraoral X-rays. The platform is designed to identify dental conditions such as tooth decay, bone loss, infections, and restoration defects while maintaining clinician oversight and ensuring patient data protection.
