BiteSpeed Raises $3.5 Million in Funding
BiteSpeed, a Gurgaon, India-based AI-powered customer operations system for e-commerce brands, has raised $3.5 million in a pre-Series A funding, bringing its total raised to $5.6 million.
The round was led by Peak XV's Surge, with participation from Whiteboard Capital and prominent angel investors, including Unacademy CEO Gaurav Munjal and META’s APAC Head, Dhruv Vohra.
Peak XV’s Surge is a seed platform for company builders. Launched in 2019, Surge combines up to $3 million in capital with a learning program and company-building support.
With this investment, BiteSpeed plans to expand hiring in marketing, sales, and technology to support its global growth, focusing on North America, Europe, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia. The funds will also support enhanced R&D in generative AI for its e-commerce solutions.
Founded by Vinayak Aggarwal, BiteSpeed is a SaaS company that offers an AI-powered platform designed to help e-commerce brands streamline customer engagement and boost revenue. It offers WhatsApp marketing, omnichannel support, and chatbot services. The company serves over 2,500 Shopify brands across over 50 countries, with a customer base in India, the Middle East, Southeast Asia, Europe, and North America. Notable customers include Skybags, Ugaoo, and Zouk.
