Buildcheck Raises $5.9 Million Seed Round

Buildcheck, a Palo Alto, CA-based AI-powered construction design review platform, has raised $5.9 million in Seed funding.

The round was led by Uncork Capital, with participation from Peterson Ventures, Xfund, and strategic angel investors, including founders and executives from OpenAI, Opendoor, CBRE, Zillow, and others.

Uncork Capital is an American venture capital firm, founded in 2004, that primarily specializes in Seed-stage investments for technology-driven startups. The firm focuses on B2B SaaS, developer tools, and cutting-edge technologies such as AI. Operating mainly out of San Francisco, Uncork Capital typically provides initial checks ranging from $1.5 million to $3 million.

The company will use the funds to accelerate AI model development, expand its engineering and operations teams, and enhance the platform’s feature set.
