Cambrian Raises $6M Seed

Cambrian, a U.S.-based blockchain data startup, has raised $6 million in a seed funding round to support the development and expansion of its verifiable oracle network. This latest injection of capital brings the company's total funding to $11.9 million.

This funding round was co-led by Franklin Templeton and Polychain Capital. Additional participants included Flow Traders, Selini Capital, Paper Ventures, and Nomad Capital, along with angel investors Jason Mo, Avi Felman, Alex Lee, and Willy Chuang.

The company plans to use the capital to broaden its blockchain coverage and accelerate the development of its verifiable oracle network. Funds will also support hiring a blockchain infrastructure engineer and a sales lead to help drive growth as they monetize their services through SaaS, enterprise contracts, and support for agent-based payment systems.

Founded in 2024 by CEO Sam Green, Cambrian provides an API for real-time and historical blockchain data, including lending rates, yield, and liquidity positions. The company is building infrastructure to provide dependable, verifiable data to institutional finance customers and AI agents allocating capital onchain.
