Checkstep Raises £3M in Funding

Checkstep, a London-based AI content moderation software company, has raised £3 million in funding.

The round was led by Alea Capital Partners, with participation from Slow Ventures and LookAI.

Alea Capital Partners is an alternative asset management firm focused on long-term macro trends and structural market gaps, primarily in Southern Europe, beginning with Portugal. The firm operates across three investment strategies: Alternative Living Solutions, Industrial Consolidation, and Venture Capital. Through its Alea Innovation One fund, a closed-end venture capital vehicle with €35 million in committed capital, the firm targets high-growth technology investments

The company will use the funding to accelerate product development, expand commercial operations, strengthen strategic partnerships, and scale its Trust and Safety infrastructure internationally.
