CoLab Raises $72 Million in Series C

CoLab, a Canada-based company building an AI-powered EngineeringOS for hardware and engineering teams, has raised $72 million USD in Series C funding.

The round was led by Intrepid Growth Partners, with participation from existing investors Insight Partners, Y Combinator, Pelorus VC, Killick Capital, and Spider Capital.

Intrepid Growth Partners is a growth-equity investment firm that focuses on backing companies leveraging machine intelligence (AI/ML) to transform industries. They aim to partner with founders by providing operational insight, global networks, and domain expertise. The firm has offices in Toronto (Canada) and London (UK) and maintains a global focus across North America and Europe.

The funding will support the launch of new AI agents, deepen integrations with engineering and AI tools, expand strategic partnerships, and grow CoLab’s go-to-market teams to meet surging global demand.

Founded by Adam Keating and Jeremy Andrews, CoLab builds AI-powered software for mechanical engineering and hardware development teams. Its EngineeringOS platform helps engineers make better, faster design decisions by connecting people, data, and AI in one collaborative workspace—capturing expert knowledge as a natural part of day-to-day work. With AI agents built into the platform, CoLab enables teams to automatically apply that knowledge to improve design quality and accelerate product development. Headquartered in St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador, CoLab serves hardware companies such as Ford, Lockheed Martin, GE Appliances, Johnson Controls, and Schneider Electric.
