Collabwriting Raises €1.1 Million in Funding

Collabwriting, a Belgrade, Serbia-based developer of a collaborative research platform, has raised €1.1 million in funding.

The round was led by SMOK Ventures, with participation from Underline Ventures, Credo, Fiedler, Forthech, Startup Wise Guys, V7 Capital, and angel investor Xenia Muntean from Planable.

SMOK Ventures is a US venture capital fund investing between 100k-1M USD in early-stage startups in Central & Eastern Europe and the diaspora. Based in Warsaw, Poland, the firm seeks to invest in early-stage companies operating in the gaming development and software sectors across Central & Eastern European regions.

The fresh funds will fuel the company's expansion plans. Specifically, the funding will be allocated towards the development of Collabwriting for Teams, growing the current team, expanding their user base, as well as incorporating new AI features.

Founded in December 2021 by Ivan Ralic and Sandra Idjoski, Collabwriting develops a platform enabling users to collect, organize, and collaborate around key knowledge. The idea is to create a dynamic environment where insights and data are delivered to users whenever they need it. The company has over 1,700 weekly active users spanning diverse professions such as law, consultancy, and R&D.
