Cuckoo Raises $1.8 Million in Seed Round

Cuckoo, a Seoul, South Korea-based AI-powered simultaneous interpretation platform for businesses, has raised $1.8 million in Seed funding.

The round includes Y Combinator, Smilegate Investment, Mashup Ventures, Base Ventures, Schmidt, and BonAngels Venture Partners.

The company will use the funding to support product development, global expansion, and the enhancement of Cuckoo’s AI interpretation and localization services.

Founded by Lee Yong-hee and Kim Geon-woo, Cuckoo is a corporate AI simultaneous interpretation service for global sales, marketing, customer support, and more. The platform provides real-time translation and interpretation during business meetings and team calls, learning internal documents and terminology in real time. Supporting over 20 languages, Cuckoo is already used by companies like Snowflake, PagerDuty, and Weights & Biases.
