Dataships Raises $7 Million in Series A

Dataships, a Dublin, Ireland-based data privacy software and services company, has raised $7 million in Series A funding.

The round was led by Osage Venture Partners, with contributions from Lavrock Ventures and the Urban Innovation Fund.

Osage Venture Partners is a Philadelphia-based VC firm that invests in early-stage B2B software companies on the East Coast. Founded in 1990 and is based in Bala Cynwyd, Pennsylvania.

The funding will support product innovation, market expansion, and customer success. This investment will accelerate Dataships' mission to help merchants dramatically grow their marketing lists while maintaining ironclad data privacy compliance.

Founded in 2019 by Michael Storan and Ryan McErlane, Dataships offers a solution that automates GDPR and CCPA compliance for eCommerce businesses. Its platform is designed to help eCommerce merchants grow their marketing lists while ensuring compliance with data privacy regulations. Dataships operates from both NexusUCD in Dublin and an office in San Francisco.
