Diffblue Receives £1M Grant from Innovate UK

Diffblue, an Oxford, England-based AI-driven software company, has received a £1 million grant from Innovate UK.

Innovate UK awarded the grant as part of the ITEA GENIUS project, which focuses on using generative AI for software development.

The funding will accelerate Diffblue’s enhancements to its AI solutions, leveraging reinforcement learning to improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability in software development.

Diffblue specializes in autonomous AI agents for unit test generation. Its main product, Diffblue Cover, uses AI to automatically write and maintain unit tests, helping development teams improve code quality and accelerate testing. By utilizing reinforcement learning, Diffblue’s technology enhances code quality, expands test coverage, and increases productivity by automating a traditionally manual process.
