Driver Raises $8 Million in Seed Round

Driver, an Austin, Texas-based startup, has emerged from stealth mode and raised $8 million in seed funding.

The round was led by GV (Google Ventures), with contributions from Y Combinator and various angel investors.

GV, founded in 2009, is Alphabet's venture capital arm based in San Francisco. It focuses on the enterprise, life sciences, consumer, and frontier technology sectors. With offices in Cambridge, London, and New York, GV manages over $10 billion in assets and supports 400 active portfolio companies across North America and Europe.

The company plans to use the funds to expand its engineering team and enhance its product roadmap.

Founded in 2023 by Daniel Hensley and Adam Tilton, Driver provides an AI-powered platform designed to automate the generation of interactive technical documentation.
