Ecodetect Raises £490K in Funding

Ecodetect, an Anglesey, UK-based company specializing in AI-driven marine monitoring for offshore infrastructure, has raised £490,000 in equity investment.

The funding round includes £245,000 from a six-strong angel syndicate led by Bobby Williams of the M-SParc Angel Network, with £25,000 contributed by climate-focused investor OnePlanet Capital. It was matched by an additional £245,000 from the Wales Angel Co-Investment Fund, managed by the Development Bank of Wales.

The company will use the funds to expand the team, create new jobs, scale the deployment of its AI-led marine monitoring technology, and further develop data transmission and analysis systems.
