Edgecom Energy Raises $2.5M in Seed Round

Edgecom Energy, a Toronto, Canada-based energy management software company, has raised $2.5 million in seed funding.

The round was led by GreenSky Ventures, with participation from ABB Electrification Ventures.

GreenSky Ventures is a Toronto-based firm that invests in early-stage Canadian technology companies through its affiliated venture capital fund, GreenSky Accelerator Funds I – VI. The firm focuses on the software, healthcare, and biotechnology industries in North America, particularly Canada and the United States.

This funding will support Edgecom Energy’s expansion into new energy markets and accelerate the growth of its AI-powered Energy CoPilot.

Founded in 2016 by Behdad Bahrami, Edgecom Energy provides energy management software and solutions designed to help commercial and industrial facilities optimize energy consumption and reduce costs. Its platform covers peak demand predictions, demand response, real-time monitoring, and distributed energy resource (DER) management. Edgecom leverages AI to enhance data collection and decision-making, providing customers with its cutting-edge AI Energy CoPilot.
