Embargo Raises $3.5 Million in Funding

Embargo, a London, UK-based AI-driven CRM and loyalty platform for the hospitality industry, has raised $3.5 million in funding.

The round was backed by a group of prominent angel investors, including Paul Statham (Condeco), Christo Georgiev (myPOS), Hampton Finance (the Chantler family fund behind Meadow Foods), Mike Branney (Oh Polly), Stephen Zinser, and Carl Christian Reiner.

The company will use the funds to enhance Embargo’s AI and machine learning capabilities for personalized marketing, ramp up B2B sales and marketing efforts, and prepare for international expansion beginning in 2026.

Founded in 2018 by Frederick Szydlowski and Tsewang Wangkang, Embargo provides a plug-and-play CRM and loyalty platform for small and medium-sized hospitality businesses. By offering tools traditionally reserved for large chains, Embargo enables SMEs to improve customer retention, drive repeat sales, and boost digital engagement across in-store, collection, and delivery channels. The platform integrates with major POS providers like Square and Lightspeed.
