EQON Raises $6M Seed

EQON, based in Stavanger, Norway, has raised $6 million in a seed funding round. The company has developed a patented software-enabled energy management platform that optimizes heating cable performance for industrial and infrastructure applications.

The round was led by Azolla Ventures and co-led by Wilstar Innovate. Additional investors include Climentum Capital and Gain Venture Capital.

EQON plans to use the new capital to accelerate the global commercialization of its heating cable optimization technology and expand its commercial operations into key international markets, with a specific focus on the United States.

Founded in Stavanger, Norway, EQON provides a patented energy management platform that replaces traditional on/off heating cable controls with intelligent, real-time power regulation. Its software-based solution is designed to reduce electricity consumption and CO2 emissions by up to 80 percent across industrial, infrastructure, and commercial heating systems.
