Gigaton Raises $26M Series A

Gigaton, a software startup based in the UK that develops autonomous AI control systems for energy-intensive industrial plants, has raised $26 million in Series A funding. The capital will support the company as it scales its team and expands its operations into the steel, glass, and chemicals sectors.

The round was led by Plural. Participating investors included 2150, Semapa Next, Planet A Ventures, Cambridge Enterprise Ventures, UCL Technology Fund, and Clean Growth Fund.

The company plans to use the new investment to increase its team size by five times and expand its software deployment into steel, glass, and chemicals manufacturing.

Founded in the UK, Gigaton provides self-learning AI software designed to simulate, control, and optimize complex industrial processes. Its platform enables autonomous plant operations by forecasting process behavior and adjusting parameters in real-time to improve efficiency and reduce carbon emissions.
