GovWell Raises $4.5 Million in Seed Round

GovWell, a New York-based startup focused on modernizing local government workflows through innovative automation solutions, raised $4.5 million in seed funding.

The round was led by Work-Bench, with participation from existing investor Bienville Capital.

Work-Bench is an enterprise venture capital firm based in NYC. They lead Seed rounds in enterprise software startups throughout the country. The firm is laser-focused on supporting early-stage startups with go-to-market strategies and has built a dynamic enterprise tech community in New York City and beyond.

GovWell Use of Funds

The company will use the funding to expand its team, enhance product development, and accelerate growth.

Founded by Ben Cohen and Troy LeCaire, GovWell is a workflow system for small and medium-sized governments that helps automate and streamline tasks ranging from building permits and code enforcement to zoning and fire safety inspections. Since its launch in April 2023, GovWell has worked with more than a dozen local governments, including parks and health departments across seven states.
