Gyre Energy Raises $1.3M Pre-seed

Gyre Energy, an Oxford-founded company specializing in AI-driven industrial cooling optimization and thermal energy storage, has secured $1.3 million in a pre-seed funding round. The investment includes both equity and grant funding to support the company's expansion into large-scale cold chain logistics and international markets.

This round was led by Speedinvest, with participation from Rule 30 and Plug and Play.

Gyre Energy plans to use the capital to scale its commercial operations and support the deployment of its cooling optimization and thermal storage platform within large-scale cold chain environments and other cooling-intensive commercial facilities.

Founded in 2024 by three Oxford MBAs, Gyre Energy provides a platform that combines physics-based artificial intelligence with thermal energy storage to reduce energy demand and costs for industrial cooling systems. Their solution is designed to optimize cooling for sectors such as cold storage, food logistics, and retail without requiring major infrastructure replacements.
