Hauler Hero Raises $16M Series A

Hauler Hero, a New York–based AI-powered waste management software company, has raised $16 million in a Series A round.

The round was led by Frontier Growth, with participation from K5 Global, Somersault Ventures, and other investors. Hauler Hero has raised more than $27 million in venture capital to date.

Frontier Growth is a Charlotte-based growth equity firm managing over $1.5 billion in assets across specialized funds. Founded in 1999, the firm focuses on profitable or near-profitable B2B software (SaaS) companies. It specializes in niche industries such as healthcare, the public sector, legal, and financial services, aiming to help companies become vertical market leaders.

The company plans to use the funding to commercialize its AI agents, expand offerings for municipal customers, and continue scaling its waste management platform.

Founded in 2020 by Mark Hoadley and Ben Sikma, Hauler Hero is a cloud-based software solution that helps waste haulers improve operations, increase efficiency, and reduce costs. The company’s all-in-one software platform covers billing, routing, and customer management. The platform now includes AI agents for operational insights, Hero Vision for detecting service issues, Hero Chat for customer inquiries, and Hero Route for optimizing routes. Headquartered in New York, Hauler Hero has facilitated 35 million trash pickups since its inception and serves both commercial and municipal clients.
