HData, a Birmingham, AL-based company specializing in AI and automation solutions for the U.S. energy industry, closed $10 million in Series A funding.

The round was led by Buoyant Ventures, with participation from Victorum Capital, Hyde Park Venture Partners, and Firebrand Ventures.

Founded in 2020, Buoyant Ventures is a venture capital firm focused on digital solutions to combat climate change. Based in Chicago, Illinois, the firm seeks to make climate tech investments in the energy, mobility, circular economy, food & agriculture, water, climate intelligence, and built environment sectors.

The company will the fresh capital to accelerate the expansion of its flagship platform, enhancing its capabilities to serve energy industry professionals.
