Hera Raises $27M Series A

Hera, a New York-based startup utilizing human-centric AI to manage senior care coordination, has announced $27 million in Series A funding. The company aims to revolutionize the caregiving experience for aging adults and their families.

The round was led by Bain Capital Ventures (BCV), with participation from Accel and IA Ventures, as well as several angel investors including the CFO of Mount Sinai.

Hera plans to use the capital to continue the development of its AI platform and to support the company's expansion into California, Florida, Maryland, Pennsylvania, and Massachusetts. The company aims to be operational in over 25 states by the end of the year.

Founded in 2025, Hera was co-founded by CEO Jenny Lee. The company provides a platform that combines frontier AI technology with a new profession of senior care experts called Heroes to assist families with non-clinical care coordination, such as navigating insurance, managing medications, and scheduling specialists.
