Inventive Raises $6.5 Million in Seed Round

Inventive, a San Francisco, CA-based startup building embedded AI for SaaS products, raised $6.5 million in seed funding.

The round was led by Wing VC, with participation from Tokyo Black and an angel investors group led by founders and former Google and Meta executives.

Founded in 2013, Wing Venture Capital is a venture capital firm devoted to early-stage, long-term company building in the AI-first technology stack. Based in Palo Alto, California, the firm invests in technology-based businesses.

The company intends to use the funds to advance its platform for product teams who need to deliver AI-powered experiences in their customer-facing software products.

Founded in 2022 by Erik Kuld, Kavita Shah, and Clarence Tso, Inventive helps product teams at large companies who struggle with endless custom data requests from customers and cannot serve them well. Its AI-native custom report builder embeds into SaaS products to let customers use natural language to explore, save, and operationalize custom insights from their data. Inventive’s underlying platform offers a suite of tools for efficiently configuring, testing, evaluating, monitoring, managing, customizing, and monetizing these embedded AI-native experiences.
