JotPsych Raises $5 Million in Seed Round

JotPsych, a Washington, D.C.-based behavioral health AI scribe platform, has raised $5 million in seed funding.

The round was led by Base10 Partners, a San Francisco-based venture capital fund investing in founders who believe purpose is key to profits and in companies that are automating sectors of the Real Economy. Through its program, the Advancement Initiative, Base10 donates a portion of its firm profits to underfunded colleges and universities to support financial aid and other key initiatives.

The company will use the funding to expand its engineering team, accelerate product development, and broaden its AI platform capabilities to support scheduling, billing, and care coordination.

Founded in 2023 by Nathan Peereboom and Jackson Bierfeldt, JotPsych is a health tech company that provides an AI-powered clinical scribe platform for behavioral health providers. It transcribes and summarizes therapy sessions into structured, HIPAA-compliant clinical notes. Headquartered in Washington, D.C., JotPsych helps therapists and psychiatrists save time by automatically generating compliant notes from recorded sessions, reducing documentation time, and adapting to clinician preferences.
