Kana Raises $15 Million in Seed Round

Kana, a San Francisco, CA–based AI-native marketing software startup, has raised $15 million in Seed funding.

The round was led by Mayfield, a Silicon Valley venture capital firm with a 55-year history of investing in early-stage technology companies. Based in Menlo Park, California, the firm manages approximately $3 billion in assets. In addition to AI, Mayfield invests in enterprise software, consumer technology, semiconductors, cybersecurity, and “human and planetary health” (biotech and climate tech).

The company will use the capital to expand hiring across engineering, product development, and go-to-market functions.

Founded by Tom Chavez and Vivek Vaidya, Kana is an AI marketing company that builds agentic AI applications purpose-built for marketing and media teams. It enables brands and media companies to learn, predict, and optimize each stage of the customer journey through the orchestration of specialized AI agents.
