kausable Raises €12M Seed

kausable, a German DeepTech AI startup based in Heidelberg, has raised €12 million in a Seed funding round to develop reasoning-first frontier AI that adapts efficiently to changing contexts without the need for retraining. The company, which previously raised a €1.5 million pre-seed round, is focused on building foundational models capable of causal reasoning.

The funding round was led by UVC Partners and Entourage, with follow-on participation from HTGF and Mätch VC. The company is also supported by various private angel investors from the AI industry and academia.

kausable plans to use the new capital to expand its nine-person team of experts and to advance the development of its rapid-learning frontier AI model.

Founded in 2025 by Johannes Haux, Dr. Benjamin Herdeanu, and Gregor Ramien, kausable is a Germany-based startup dedicated to developing a reasoning-first foundational AI model. The company aims to replace static, data-heavy AI models with systems that learn efficiently and adapt to new scenarios autonomously, targeting dynamic industries such as robotics, energy, and finance.
