Kimia Bags $7 Million Seed Round

Kimia, a Sydney, Australia–based chemical intelligence platform, has raised $7 million in Seed funding.

The company also officially launched its platform, designed to turn institutional chemical expertise into revenue-generating intelligence.

The round was led by Airtree Ventures, with participation from Blackbird Ventures and Skip Capital.

Airtree Ventures is a prominent venture capital (VC) firm based in Australia that focuses on investing in early-stage technology startups, especially those from Australia and New Zealand (ANZ). Its investment strategy centers on identifying promising founders at the Seed and Series A stages, particularly in sectors like fintech, SaaS, and artificial intelligence.

The company will use the funding to onboard enterprise customers, enhance platform capabilities, and expand global go-to-market efforts.
