KNIME Secures $30 Million in Funding

KNIME, a Zurich, Switzerland-based open-source data science and AI company, has secured an additional $30 million in funding, bringing its total funding to $50 million.

The investment was made by Invus, a private equity firm that invests in transformational opportunities in both private and public companies. Founded in 1985, Invus is active across a range of industries, including consumer and retail, technology, and healthcare. Invus has over $10 billion under management in an evergreen structure, enabling a long-term investment horizon, with offices in New York, Paris, Hong Kong, and Singapore.

The company will use the funding to enhance its enterprise-grade AI governance and ModelOps capabilities, ensuring it remains at the forefront of innovation in the rapidly evolving data science field.

KNIME provides open-source platform designed for data analytics, reporting, and integration. It allows users to create data workflows through a visual programming interface, enabling them to perform various data processing and analysis tasks without the need for extensive coding knowledge. The company now serves nearly 400 customers and boasts a team of 250 employees worldwide.
