Kodesage Raises $6.6M Seed
Kodesage, based in London and Budapest, is a software startup providing an AI-driven platform for enterprise legacy software modernization, raising $6.6M in a seed funding round.
The round was led by VentureFriends, with participation from pre-seed lead Portfolion, alongside angel investors Christian Szegedy and Mario Gotze.
The company plans to use the capital to fund a go-to-market push in the United States and Europe and to increase hiring in engineering and product departments.
Founded in 2024 by Gergely Dombi, Miklos Szurdi, and Gyorgy Szilagyi, Kodesage offers an on-premise AI platform designed to modernize legacy systems like COBOL and Oracle Forms. The software performs automated deep discovery of codebases to extract business logic and create documentation that allows AI agents to assist in code conversion and production support while ensuring data remains within the enterprise perimeter.
