Lassie Raises $35M Series A

Lassie, based in San Francisco, Calif., is a company building autonomous AI systems that handle administrative busywork for small businesses. The company announced it has raised $35 million in Series A financing, bringing its total capital raised to $47 million.

The round was led by Andreessen Horowitz (a16z). Additional participating investors include Night Capital, Rahul Vohra, Zach Perret, Taavet Hinrikus, Gokul Rajaram, and Brian Balfour.

The company plans to use the new capital to accelerate its growth and the adoption of its autonomous software agents across the small business sector.

Founded in 2026 by Steijn Pelle and Frederic Renken, Lassie develops autonomous AI systems designed to manage administrative tasks for small business owners, starting with doctor’s offices. The platform currently serves over 700 small businesses, helping them automate complex workflows and save thousands of hours in manual labor.
