Layla Raises €3 Million in Seed Round
Layla, a Berlin, Germany-based travel discovery platform, has secured €3 million in funding from a group of investors.
The funding round was led by Firstminute Capital, with participation from Booking.com’s co-founder Andy Phillips, Skyscanner co-founder Barry Smith, and entertainment star Paris Hilton.
Firstminute is a seed-stage venture firm investing in the UK, Europe, and the US. The firm prefers to invest in companies operating in SaaS, deep tech, climate tech, web3, gaming, open-source, consumer, fintech, health tech, food tech, prop tech, and e-commerce sectors.
Founded by Jeremy Jauncey and Saad Saeed, Layla is an AI-powered travel company that aims to bridge the gap between social travel inspiration and the booking process. Layla uses short-form travel videos and AI-powered language models to help users discover travel destinations, plan trips, and book travel and accommodation. The platform's suite of products includes an Instagram Travel Planner and a free-to-use Layla app.
