Leya Raises $10.5 Million in Funding

Leya, a Stockholm, Sweden-based legaltech company which offers an AI assistant for lawyers and law firms, has raised $10.5 million in funding.

The round was led by Benchmark, with participation from Hummingbird, SV Angel, and Y-Combinator.

Benchmark is an early-stage venture capital firm based in San Francisco and Woodside investing in and working alongside entrepreneurs building startups into transformational companies. The firm focuses on early-stage venture investing in consumer, marketplaces, open-source, AI, infrastructure, and enterprise software.

The funds will be used to scale the team, deepen partnerships, and advance the future of legal work by integrating AI into more legal workflows and jurisdictions.
