Lithosquare Raises $25M Seed
Lithosquare, a Paris-based startup, is leveraging AI to accelerate the discovery and identification of critical metals deposits across the world. The company recently raised a $25m equity seed round.
The seed round was co-led by German climate tech VC World Fund and UK-based early-stage deeptech investor Kindred Capital. Additional participation came from French firms Daphni, Omnes Capital, and Ovni Capital.
The capital will be used to double the size of Lithosquare's team to 40 employees and open a new office in North America to boost commercialisation efforts.
Lithosquare was founded by CEO Aymeric Préveral-Etcheverry. The company develops an AI platform that "encodes" geological science using a foundational AI model trained with multimodal data, including maps, textual reports, surveys, and geophysical data like magnetism and radioactivity. This technology assists geologists in reasoning, testing new hypotheses, and exploring new types of deeper deposits, reducing analysis timelines from months to days. Lithosquare's mission is to strengthen critical metals supply chains by helping open new geographies and diversify targets for deposit exploration.
