Lucida AI, based in Europe, is a speech-to-speech AI platform that develops proprietary speech-native technology to improve spoken communication for individuals and enterprises. The company has raised $7 million in total seed funding, including a recent $1.6 million injection that completed the round.
The seed round was led by UK-based Velocity Capital, with participation from Next Tier Ventures, Look AI Ventures, Bogazici Ventures, Yapı Kredi Frwrd Ventures, and Ünlü & Co.
Lucida AI plans to use the capital to expand its speech-to-speech AI platform into new languages and markets. The funding will also support the further development of its proprietary speech-to-speech AI infrastructure, the growth of its enterprise offerings, and ongoing product development.
Founded 15 months ago by Mustafa Girgin and M. Sait Demirci, Lucida AI aims to facilitate global communication through real-time, AI-powered speech interactions. Its platform uses a proprietary Speech Language Model to provide users with instant feedback on fluency, pronunciation, and clarity without the need for text prompts, serving both individual users via mobile app and enterprises through secure, on-premises hosting.
