Mathew Raises €1.2M Seed
Mathew, a Spain-based edtech startup focused on developing artificial intelligence solutions for the education sector, has raised €1.2 million in a seed funding round.
The funding round included participation from Encomenda and Decelera, alongside several early-stage business angels.
The company plans to use the new capital to accelerate international growth, strengthen its operational footprint in Latin America, and consolidate its expansion in the Mexican market.
Founded in 2023 and led by CEO Alan Fusté, Mathew is a company that provides AI-powered tools designed to improve academic assessment, learning experiences, and educational management for schools and universities. Based in Sant Cugat del Vallès, Mathew currently operates across Spain, Andorra, Colombia, and Mexico, serving more than 100 educational institutions. Its mission is to help transform the educational ecosystem through tools that simplify teachers’ work while enhancing students’ learning experiences.
