Mecka AI Raises $60M Series A

Mecka AI, based in New York City, is an artificial intelligence startup that develops technology to train robots using human motion data collected from sensors and iPhones. The company recently announced it has raised $60 million in total funding across a Series A round and a subsequent follow-on investment.

Framework Ventures led the rounds. Additional participating investors included Menlo Ventures, SV Angel, Kindred Ventures, and angel investor Ted Xiao.

The company plans to use the capital to scale its operations, continue capturing human motion data using its custom equipment, and assist firms in integrating and training their robotics models.

Founded in 2025, Mecka AI was established by Josh Gao, Mogen Cheng, Jason Chong, and Duy Nguyen. The company aims to achieve general intelligence in the physical world by training robots on human data rather than relying on manual teleoperation.
