Modus Lands $85 Million in Funding

Modus, a New York-based AI-native audit technology platform and holding company, has raised $85 million across Seed and Series A funding.

The round was led by Lightspeed Venture Partners, with participation from Comma Capital and Garry Tan.

Lightspeed Venture Partners is a global, multi-stage venture capital firm that manages over $40 billion in assets under management (AUM). With a presence across the U.S., Europe, India, Israel, and Southeast Asia, the firm has backed more than 1,000 companies. Lightspeed focuses on accelerating disruptive innovations in the enterprise, consumer, healthcare, and fintech sectors.

The company will use the funding to accelerate development of Modus’s proprietary AI-driven audit technology and to expand its strategy of investing in and partnering with audit-focused accounting firms.
