Nexcade Secures $2.5 Million in Funding

Nexcade, a London, UK-based AI automation company for freight forwarders, has emerged from stealth with $2.5 million in pre-Seed funding.

The round was led by Connect Ventures, with participation from MMC Ventures, Entropy Industrial Capital, Inovia, and angel investors including Charlie Songhurst and Keith Wallington.

Connect Ventures is a venture capital firm based in London, focused on pre-seed and seed-stage investing in product-led companies across AI, SaaS, fintech, marketplaces, and other verticals. They typically lead or co-lead funding rounds ranging from $500K to $5 million.

The company will use the funding to grow its customer base tenfold, strengthen partnerships with forwarders, and expand its AI-driven automation workflows.

Founded by Dan Bailey and Tasho Kjosev, Nexcade develops agentic AI solutions for logistics teams, automating pricing, quoting, and rate procurement to help freight forwarders operate faster and secure more business. Its AI agents extract unstructured information from emails and conversations outside the TMS and convert it into structured, automated workflows, improving rate management, win rates, and data visibility.
