Nile Raises $11.6 Million in Seed Round
Nile, a San Francisco, CA-based startup that aim to streamline and centralize database management for SaaS companies, raised $11.6 million in seed funding.
The round was led by Eric Vishria, a general partner at Benchmark, a venture capital firm based in Silicon Valley.
Founded by Sriram Subramanian and Gwen Shapira, Nile is a serverless Postgres database designed for modern SaaS applications. Nile's solution includes built-in support for multi-tenancy as its core primitives, addressing the challenges faced by SaaS companies in handling multi-tenant data. The platform allows developers to define which database the application needs to speak to, and Nile provides isolation at the session and connection levels.
