Ora Computing Raises €3.5M Seed

Ora Computing, an Austrian startup based in Vienna, has secured €3.5M in seed funding to bring to market its software designed to compress large AI models by up to 80% without significant loss of accuracy. Founded in 2025 by two quantum computing researchers, the company aims to reduce the high energy and compute costs associated with running large-scale AI models.

This seed round was co-led by Constructor Capital, an early-stage investor from Switzerland, and Greencode Ventures, a Helsinki-based firm focused on applied AI for energy and industry. The round also saw participation from XISTA Science Ventures.

The company plans to use the new funding to grow its team, expand its compression technology to accommodate the largest AI models, and launch a commercial product for cloud inference providers.

Founded in 2025 by Stefan Sack and Raimel Medina, Ora Computing is a Vienna-based startup that leverages research expertise from the Institute of Science and Technology Austria. The company provides software solutions that shrink large AI models to improve efficiency, reduce memory usage, and decrease computing costs across various hardware platforms.
