Pepper Raises $50 Million Series C

Pepper, a New York–based AI-enabled end-to-end technology platform for independent food distributors, has raised $50 million in Series C funding.

The round was led by Lead Edge Capital, with participation from existing investors including ICONIQ Capital, Index Ventures, Greylock, Harmony Partners, and Interplay.

Lead Edge Capital is a growth equity investment firm headquartered in New York City, with additional offices in Santa Barbara, California, and London. The firm specializes in providing flexible equity capital and strategic support to technology-oriented companies, primarily in the software, internet, consumer, and tech-enabled services sectors.

The company will use the funding to accelerate AI and data innovation, expand its product modules, scale ERP integrations, and invest in go-to-market and customer success initiatives.

Pepper provides an end-to-end technology platform for food distributors, powering ordering, sales, marketing, accounts receivable, and embedded payments workflows in one unified system. The platform integrates with more than 70 ERP systems, unifying legacy infrastructure into a digital operating stack.
