Phonely Lands $16 Million Series A

Phonely, a San Francisco, CA–based AI voice platform that helps businesses optimize phone conversations, has raised $16 million in Series A funding.

The round was led by Base10 Partners, with participation from Y Combinator, Etech Global Services, TSA Group, and Engage CX.

Base10 Partners is a San Francisco–based venture capital firm that invests in founders who believe purpose is key to profits and in companies automating sectors of the real economy. Through its program Advancement Initiative, Base10 donates a percentage of its profits to underfunded colleges and universities to support financial aid and other key initiatives. The firm manages more than $1 billion in assets under management.

The company will use the funding to expand product development, scale engineering and go-to-market teams, and accelerate adoption across industries that rely on phone-based customer interactions.
